我都試過在外國訂過HLJ, 結果妹仔大過主人婆, 郵費貴過盒模型, 但當年無辦法, 因為當地的模型店唔賣日本野, 結果唯有忍痛比HLJ劏

In past 28 years I lived in Canada, Europe and USA, I have ordered from HLJ for many years.  Not many times, but many years.  
Maybe 7 times in 20 years.  After I moved to HK, I ordered from them once, last X'mas.  

I also tried to make a change to my order, but they refused my request, saying any order already in the system cannot be modified.  
So I ended up not paying for a small order.  And eventually they nullified that order.  The big order that I paid for was okay.  Their was a
HUGE delay in HK Post Office, despite I paid for EMS shipping.  But maybe it wasn't HLJ's fault.

For all these orders, I think I have used 5 different accounts, because I forget my old passwords or they forgot my password... hard to say.
And it's so so hard to recovered my account with HLJ.  So... I don't care if they blacklist me.  Next time I order from them maybe a few years
from now and anyway I may need to open another account with them for some stupid reason anyway.

You HK'ers are so lucky already.  When I lived in the West, we think we are lucky to pay only double the Yen price.  Three times is quite common,
So 1000 Yens = 30 USD.  

Sorry... so much to say, writing in Chinese/Cantonese is so hard.

NOPE, if shipping for one box is already over 2000 Yens, then ordering 2 or 3 boxes together will not reduce your shipping cost.

let me share my bad experience with HLJ too.......this is a few years ago.

I placed an order and somehow the system had some problems, could not show up the item I added to my cart.  Therefore, I sent an email to them trying to rectify the issue.  They replied my email and said that they have fixed the system issue.

3 weeks later, I have received 2 separate parcels, with the same item inside......of course they have charged me twice.....

I sent an email to them again.  They replied me and ask me to send the additional item back to them and they will give me a refund.  However, I need to pay the postage (Japan to my home, and my home to Japan).  That is ridicules, given that this is their problem.

其實一路想知佢網頁顯示郵費, 係咪最後收費?  其它1999/amiami 都係佢話幾多就幾多.

For MG kits and up, the shipping cost as displayed is reliable enough.  

But I tend to order a couple (on sale) kits and lot of smaller items together
(e.g. option parts).  Then incremental shipping for the smaller items is almost zero.
For HLJ, you can put together a complete order, to check what's the total shipping
cost.  When I place an order I know exactly how much I should pay.

But... I never made a pre-order before, I guess I only place an order after I
know the total cost.

I enjoy shopping in person because it's a nice experience.  I also buy online whenever it's better deal.  
E-commerce is global trend and HK is behind the curve.  

My economic decisions are based on 90% economic factors, only 10% is political or emotional.  For example,
2 years ago renovation and furnishing for my new home I managed to avoid Japanese goods completely.  
Tiles, furniture, kitchen appliances, home entertainment, computer, networking.  Chinese, Korean, American,
French etc, no need to buy Japanese.  But that's an exception actually, mostly I buy whatever is best deal,
no politics.  E.g. for camera, Leica (Ger.) is too expensive, Kodak (USA) is bankrupt, Samsung (Kor) is not
mature enough. best choice: Nikon or Canon, same as 30 years ago.  

The behavior of some HK'ers is too similar to the mob in Side 3 in Gundam Origin.  Of course there's also a
chilling similarity between SAR gov and Earth Fed.  Luckily SAR doesn't have Guntank yet.  

As my Russian friend often says "plenty of stupidity to go around".
