Build A Simple M3A3 CFV Or Along With Its Interior?
In the early 2014, MENG SS-004 1/35 scale U.S Infantry Fighting Vehicle M2A3 Bradley w/Busk III plastic model kit came into the market. Many fans of modern U.S Army were very delighted for that. M2 IFV is named in memory of Omar Nelson Bradley (1893-1981), a five-star General of the U.S. Army, the same to the M3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle. The cavalry of modern mechanization is very different from those of ancient times on the back of animals. The “Cavalry” here means the maneuverable U.S. scout forces.
M3A3 CFV, the latest U.S. digital cavalry fighting vehicle, is mainly used for scouting and fire-supporting; it shares the same power system and weapons system with M2A3; it’s also equipped with the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Battlefield Command Information System and Bradley Urban Survivability Kits (BUSK). It has strong survivability and informatization combat capabilities. The differences from M2A3 include: ten TOW anti-tank missiles can be stored in the passenger compartment; a new top-mounted missile reload hatch with periscopes is used; firing ports on the rear ramp and periscopes on each side of passenger compartment have been cancelled on the M3 CFVs. This vehicle serves in U.S. troops stationed in the Continental United States, Iraq and South Korea. Only on the battlefield the fighting vehicles can really show their strength, otherwise, they mean nothing. M3A3, as the U.S. digital fire-supporting unit, played a very important role in the Iraq War in 2003.
This SS-006 1/35 scale U.S. Cavalry Fighting Vehicle M3A3 Bradley w/BUSK III model is 203.5mm long and 107.3mm wide. The model accurately realized the exterior and details of the real vehicle; all crew and passenger hatches are movable; the vehicle can be modeled with/without add-on armor; TOW anti-tank missile launcher can be built in folded or firing position with/without missiles. A whole set of modern U.S. military vehicle antenna system is included. The kit is comprised of 14 sprues, 2 PE frets, and rubber and metal parts.
Careful as you are, have you ever found SS-006 without interior construction? Some modelers think it doesn’t matter, because they only focus on the exterior of the vehicle, what’s they anticipated is no interior construction. However, others think it’s necessary, for them, a fighting vehicle model without interior construction means an incomplete one. Absolutely, it’s not pleased for those modelers who like interior construction to see SS-006 without interior construction. Taking it into consideration, MENG has released SS-006 along with the SPS-017 kit which includes interior constructions of the turret, engine, transmission, the driver’s compartment and passenger compartment of M3A3.
M3A3 plastic model kit is divided into two parts: one is the excellent exterior, and the other is interior construction with details. Probably, you only need the exterior, or both of them! Anyway, you will be satisfied!
