Sort of finish the skeleton
- The overall shape is very good, just like a garage kit sold years ago by Volks
- The allowed movement is very wide, I really like the shoulder joint that can make the black knight into a open chest position. (Bandai should be careful in this, the competition is very high from other company these days)
- The joint is strong enough to maintain the shield in position, except the ball joint in the chest, I will replace it with a new joint ..may be with a rod instead of ball joint.
- One thing I don't like is - For some part, like the U-shaped shield handle that combined by 3 pieces, there is (almost) no insertion point for putting them together. Even with instant glue, they will fall apart easily, so I treat it like making a resin kit by reinforcing this part with a copper rod now.

Tried a Wave kit a few years ago decided to stick with resin kits instead

It's great to see that Volks is able to make the transition from resin to plastic and still be able to retain the quality that we seek. I just wish I had preordered it sooner...Luckily for me the delivery date for the second batch of preorder is only a couple of days away .

It seems I need to buy this month Hobby Japan, hope they will put the material in the Chinese version.
I want to know how to handle the painting section. I preliminary want to use semi-gross black and purple for the highlight and some white weathering to sharpen the shape. But I don't have experience in painting black

- Just reinforce the chest joint with a 5mm plastic rod, so the body will not lean to the left side (to the arm holding the shield)
- also strengthen the wrist with A&B mixing resin, so the shield will not fall
- Slightly adjust the angle of the toe

The overall shape of the kit is really good, just like the resin kit, I can't resist to built it after I buy it. Hope all of your orderd shipment coming very soon and in reasonable price.

- Replace the ball join in the chest with a 5mm rod
- Hand is quite hard to built, it combined by 5 pieces. Since there is no insertion point, they might fall apart easily. Again, copper rod is used to prevent this.
- All the joints are very strong, it can hold the shield and knife at any position. I built a Mirage and Bang Doll from Volks MM series before, they both cannot hold their shield.  Finally....

It took longer to build than I thought; the armor are made by lots ofl pieces.
The plastic are very thick and hard, maybe Volks want to keep the detail from their original resin kit.
Wondering is it plastic or resin now?

Volks model quality is very good in fact

Complete the assemble work and the shape looks good to me
but the joint to put the foot shield is very weak, in case, I put a copper rod in between. Luckily the parts are very thick

The hand cannot hold the sword very well, so I use magnet to hold them tight

Time to sand and get ready for paint

Looking good so far! I can imagine it must've taken you quite a bit of work to get this far, as I just got mine from Volks yesterday.

I noticed from looking at the pictures of this kit in the past, that the right hand has a very loose grip that is not made for holding the sword. And you've just confirmed it for me   . I may have to modify the hand like I did to the SAV resin kit, and while I'm at it I would probably modify the hilt as well to make it look more manga-accurate.
