How much they charge for each bottle of paints?

where u bought the Alpine figure? how much ? I found Unversial Model sell at arlund $120 each, will tristar be cheaper??

Never bought from Tristar as they don't have the latest (or sold out??) I bought these 2 when UML had 5% discount using credit card, so I got a 20% discount in total...

I bought those Alpine figures from UML too.
but for the last shipment, the single figure set rasied the price, $148each
and the couple set almost soldout at the very first moment the stock arrived.
so if i were to buy the couple, i need to pick up the 2 single sets, and that will cost 148 x 2 x 0.85 = 251

about 2 weeks late, i found the same couple set at tristar, selling 24X!
i know it is not much difference, but i do like the coulpe set package more~~

That was something I don't understand about UML, they price the single figure at $128 (the new one at $148) but the twin set at $258, so what the haxk is in their mind??  The twin set supposed to be cheaper so more people will buy both figures at the same time.

About Tristar, I never bought Alpine from them as the stocks goes real quick.  Luckily I got 20% off....

Regarding these fabulous Alpine figues, you need to act quick (especially on those new German soldier), they really sell fast...

I used Andrea as well, I found it "sticks" better to the surface... but too bad their color come in less choices, so I often use Vallejo..

I can tell that you are using Andrea fresh as the basic skin tone appears to be a bit "orange", try Vallejo fresh tone, I think it looks more natural..

Bought this set from Hong Tin the other day, I think it is good to me as I'm no good at mixing colors...

so it comes with pros and cons:
the good thing about Vallejo paints is, it's more convienient to use as it come in straight a way the color of the choice.
but somehow, painting figure really need some more practise in color tuning.
the good thing about andrea is that, it let you pracitse mixing the right color almost eveyrtime you use it.

i heard about the point of the fresh too. but you know, let me master the basic before jumping to judge the color la~~~LOL~~~

last time i chat with the shop keeper at tristar and he said they focus on couple set instead as ppl are buying couple set much more then single set.
simple business logic.... really dunno what the xxxx UML's boss is thinking....

You are right, all those figures painting masters know how to mix color (like Joe sir)..  I really wanna learn too but I just messed it up everytime I tried.  So, like you said, let's practise more first...

I haven't tried them yet... but I think if you have this set on hand, you can mix them to reach different shade easily.

You mean this set??  A friend of mine has it and he said it is really good, no need to mix at all to reach different shadows... unfortunately, couldn't get a hold of it...

one of the most memorable by Joe sir when we first discuss about figures is to use only white, black,red, yellow and blue for all the things in figure painting..... just not sure if it still make sense as Vallejo has such a great color set to ease the pain for mising colors....
