i want to add an airtank to my airbrush setup. i searched and found out that Pepsi plastic bottle can easily hold 100psi. i wonder if anyone has tried converting a pepsi bottle into an airtank.

不過hold到7bar 係當個bottle冇改動過, 如果鑽過hold之類既話, 就應該唔得了...

100psi is not a lot, my bicycle tire can hold that much.

my airbrush compressor only goes up to 40psi before cutoff, which is way below the limit of the coke bottle.

VampireA got it right. the issue is the connector. if drill a hole on the bottle cap properly, it should be strong enough.

how much is the power air tank?

I think you are not talking about drilling a hole, you are talking about the proper sealing of the holes (you need two), can the plastic stand the sealing fixture (if you can find one) without leakage, good luck !

你呢個問題都幾有趣，7個bar的壓力，仲話要用個汽水膠樽黎keep。
7bar的壓力有幾大？等於潛水70米甘勁，我都無本事頂到甘大壓力。
工業上，所以壓力容器，都要拿證書， 證明安全的，因爲不安全的結果係：爆炸。
一般氣泵的容器都用金屬黎做，仲寫到明可以用的範圍 1-8 bar，點解？因爲要安全咯！
其實噴油一般1-2bar已經絕對足夠，如果你淨係噴油，或者可以試下用膠樽。
你能夠承擔爆炸的後果，就做咯，否則，去買個缸仔咪算咯，最多幾百蚊，拗呢做乜姐！？？
