過唔到心理關口

After taken a serious study on the manual and material. I have made a decision to build the engine at the last step.

Some I have done some test fitting and I found that I should do the FRAME first. I wanted to use the SOLDERING method to glue them up. However, the parts are so thin and they are easily melted down in case of accident. So, I used EPOXY to glue them together.


By the way, SIR ARLIP, please don't give me pressure or I will run away

Yes, I went to WU SIR'home for doing some GP2 expeiment

I have applied the GP2 on Hi-Tech decal. It is ok

not in hk but jp

So, you may want to trash all your car supplement, PE, decal ...

Actually, mine does not fit very well with the base. Some adjustment is a MUST

It is '60s

I got 2 boxes of it. The first one was bought from Mr. Knife and it was 1900HKD.
The second one was bought in Jp during SALES and it was about 1100HKD

Hopefully, I will build the WHITE one

Very slow progress.
As I mention before, TEST FITTING is very important. I found that the position of the Engine Block is too high. It could not fit with other part at all. So, in order to LOW DOWN the Engine, a little re-shape has to be done on the frame


After that, the Engine could be fit with other parts

The so-called FUN would be the ENGINE alternation

The FRAME is done. This is an very important step. If it is not done well, Engine, Body and Interior will be affected. Parts are glue together by either Epoxy or AA. The gap in between parts are filled by mixture of AA and Baby Powder.
This is not an easy task. Many test fitting, adjustment and alternation have been done b4 really glue part together. In addition, the assemble steps is not based on Instruction Manual in order to make it easy to paint. So, it took me some time.



Hopefully, the paint job for the FRAME and suspension job could be started soon

Glue the PE together piece by piece. Before using AA clue, using sand paper to polish it a little bit, so it makes PE glued stronger

But PE part look more detail and SHARP

Very slow. The FRAME is done. Ready to paint. After that, put on engine and suspension. It would be easier since many test fitting have been done already. The only tricky thing is the ALIGNMENT

Reference 到手, 再開工.

跟著開始搞 Interior

This is an interesting book. It covers pic and history detail of Cobra series of 60s'. However, it doesn't cover many detail of Cobra Coupe but 427S/C. So, i am going to build the 427S/C some day.

This is not only an interesting project but also a challenging project. Since this is an old product, its design and fitting are not very well. TEST FITTING is damned important. In addition, the engine is too simple and there requires some more alternation such as radiator hose and some more detail. Unfortunately, since this is kinda vintage car and not much engine detail found in internet, my alternation will be expected as a simple way.

For F1-2000, yes, I want to build one. I got some detail info from pic. However, I have tried to get the FULL DECAL from Studio 27 or Meseum Collection. However, I don't see them on market now. So, if anyone is kindly enough and willing to sell it to me, please let me know. Once again -> no Tabu
