Hi, just wanna ask is there any brothers/sisters studying in Melbourne? both present or past. Any brothers/sisters know where do they have model stores in Melbourne?   cause its really boring here   sharing of experience on how u wasted your time during excess free time are also welcomed

are you talking about the model shop owned by a chinese? i've been to that one but the price....   Gunpla= HK price 7 times...... AFV= HK price 3-5 times......  its crazy.....

The shop keeper was an Aussie. Better forget Gunpla..., or go for internet order.
Anyway you may get some discontinued, 'hard to fine elsewhere worldwide' items instead

But Melbourne is a good place for modeller, huge living space, huge house, huge garage, super dry weather...

theres nothing more i can agree on how nice is the MEl weather for modelers if internet order, how much will things be like? do i order direct from JP?  and i saw alot of AFV antiques there too.... dont know much on them, but looks really old

For internet order, you may try www.hlj.com. I have no idea for the charges since i haven't order from them.

I live in Geelong about 5 years before (right now at Syd), and go to Mel China Town everyweek.

From what I know, there are 2 model shop in China Town, but not sure they still there or not now. And the price........4-5 times of HK, that's for sure.

Same idea as tonyktng brother, you better order from Internet. That's much more easy, more options and lower item price (but you got to work out the postage fee).

the mel china town, u mean the one in mel centre?

nah i dont have a car.....  with the car, i assume u can travel further right? so is there anyother good stuff to do if u have a car? just to plan for myself for further life

That's quite necesary to get a car in Mel. You can travel to more places rather than jsut stay at home (or just to China Town! XD)

That's true, get the driving license early better than late!! The license is very useful here. Most application can use that as ID!!

Totally agree with that. check vic road website to see how to get a licence.

thanks for the address and everyones help here ^^. I've been to Boxhill today (dayoff today =P) Hobby Japan closed a year ago, and so is AnimeZone...... and i cant find other stores too..... i think they're gone as well....

That's normal. Right now online order is so handy, physical store of model shop is very hard to survive..........!!
