at the moment, c's looks pretty unstopabble at home, and i doubt lakers will come up with more of that 4th quater performance, but still lakers at home will give them good advantage to take o ...
One key factor why the Lakers were not playing up to expectation is Lamar Odom was in foul trouble in these 3 games, being called for 2 quick fouls in each 1st quarter and had 5 fouls each game, which limited his time and effectiveness. If he can adjust the rest of the series is much different.
For the Celtics, the key factor why they are so good is their defense, not the team chemistry in offense. However, when it comes to the 7 games series, it is not easy to keep such high concentration for each player and for a team; and, opponents will adjust and make their plays. The first 3 rounds and the forth quarter Lakers' comeback of Gm2 are examples.
Just comparing the roster, these two teams are pretty much balance each other.
LA has a much Finals experience is Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher. Boston has a lot experience in the league, and the Big 3 seems much hungrier.
LA has Kobe as the regular season MVP, Boston has Garnett as the regular season Defensive Player
LA has a lot of offensive talent and youthness, Boston is strong in defense and experience.
LA's young players are energetic but sometimes not confidence (like Odom & Walton); Boston's young players has the size, and the veterans are mentally strong and contribute (like Cassel, PJ Brown and Eddie House).
Who's going to win? the team has much basketball talent, can play in much concentration till the end of series, able to adjust and match the plays of the opponents (these are really not easy to measure, excluding experience of the coaching staff)
Boston has one definite advantage-- HOMECOURT!!! for both are very good at home and has very passionate home fans and loooong history of rivals in basketball history, this is a very decisive factor!
I still tip Boston in 7, though I want LA to win.....
